隨著 iPod nano 推出了彩色外殼的版本之後，同樣採用鋁質外殼的 iPod shuffle 也跟上了這股風潮。蘋果在剛剛無聲無息的推出了彩色版本的 iPod shuffle，除了原本的灰色之外又增加了 4 種顏色的款式，全系列共有灰、粉紅、綠、藍、橘 5 種顏色可供挑選。

除了新增多種顏色之外，蘋果也終於隨 iPod shuffle 附送了新款的耳機，彩色版 iPod shuffle 的容量仍然為 1GB，定價也繼續保持是美金 79 元。
